How to register for the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test):
1. Go to SAT.org
2.SIgn in or create a new account.
3. Once you have created an account, sign in again with your password if prompted, or click “register now”
4. Fill out the form as requested; only questions with red asterisks are mandatory. Click continue on each page until you get to the page about Choosing a Test Site.
5. Choose the most convenient testing site for you (the SAT is frequently offered in Huntingdon, Altoona, and Mercersburg).
6. Click through the photo page, and upload a photo of your face and neck only. No other individuals can be in the photo. Follow the guidelines provided for your photograph, to avoid being denied entry on the day of the test.
7. Pay for the test; if you receive free or reduced lunch, ask the High School Counselor for a waiver code. If not, then pay for the test online using a credit card.
8. Print your admission ticket. You will need this along with an acceptable photo ID, calculator, and number 2 pencils on test day.
9. If you know of any schools to which you would like to apply, you can request to send your SAT scores at this point to up to four schools for free. Click “send scores” and then proceed to search and add your four schools.
