Volunteering with SHCSD
The links and forms below provide information for volunteers to obtain clearances in order to work with and/or around minors (minors being individuals from birth to age 18). All volunteers must have clearances on file with the school district and be approved by the board of education. Clearances must be renewed every 5 years.
You need to the complete the following:
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (free of charge)
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check (free of charge)
- If you have lived in PA for the past 10 years: You will need to complete a Volunteer Affidavit (found below) for the school district. There is no fee for this form.
OR
If you have NOT lived in PA for the past 10 years: You will need to apply for your FBI fingerprinting certification coded for the Department of Education since you will be working within the school setting. FBI Fingerprinting may only be obtained at IdentoGO authorized sites. You must register BEFORE getting your fingerprints done. Please click here to get started.
