Period 6 Cafeteria Rules

RESPONSIBILITY

1) Walk; don’t run anywhere.

2) Sit at your assigned table in your assigned seat.  Keep appropriate distances.  Do not invade personal space of others.

3) Keep your hands, feet, and all objects to yourself.

4) Raise your hand when you need something; to ask to use the restroom, if you have general question, or report an issue. We will come to you.

5) Do not throw or steal anything!

6) If you know that there is going to be a disagreement or issue, do the right thing. Tell an adult!

If a student is bullying you trying to get you to buy them food – extras or snacks, please tell a lunch monitor immediately!  You should only be buying food for yourself, not getting food for your friends!

RESPECT

1) Respect everyone, including the cafeteria staff and the resource officer.

2) Listen to the lunch monitors.

3) Use an acceptable volume when speaking.  Please don’t yell.

4) Wait to be dismissed to the lunch line and use the designated garbage cans for trash when you’re done eating. Do not get in line for snacks and extras until dismissed. The cafeteria workers will let your teacher know when it’s time for getting back in line.

5) No bullying; this includes sending unkind texts across the cafeteria.

CONSEQUENCES

The lunch monitors have a walkie-talkie on them at all times. An administrator, resource officer, or office will be contacted immediately if there is a serious issue.

1) Immediate removal from the cafeteria. 

2)  Lunch detention.

3)  Assigned seating.

NOTE: Yes, you may use your phones, but you should NOT be Snapchatting (or taking videos) or pictures at all, per SHCSD Student Handbook. These actions will result in consequences.
