The Southern Huntingdon County School District will destroy all special education records for all students eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and/or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and/or Chapter 16 service plans, who graduated, completed the educational program at age twenty-one (21), or moved from the District in 2019 or before.

These records will be destroyed after July 15, 2025.

Those who want to claim their records prior to the date of destruction must submit a request in writing to the SHC district office at SHCSD 10339 Pogue Road, Three Springs PA 17264.

Written requests should include the student’s full legal name, date of birth, year of graduation, signature of the adult student or legal guardian and contact information for notification when records are ready to be picked up.

Appropriate records will be provided at no cost. Proper identification, including valid picture identification will be required for access.
