The fuel tank test at Spring Farms Elementary School has confirmed a leak. Further testing and excavation will be completed to gain a better understanding of the issue. The District continues to work closely with the Department of Environmental Protection. At this time, Spring Farm staff and students will be relocated to the HS/MS for what may last a few weeks. Due to this transition, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the Southern Huntingdon County School District will be operating on a teacher in-service day. On this day only, students do not report to school and will not be required to complete any FID requirements. This day will count as a student day.
All after school activities will take place as scheduled.
